The 23/01/2016 was a unique day for the Italian Karate!
After a short - but intense - meeting, preceded by months of organization and diplomacy, it is born the Italian research group of Okinawan Karate, the Okinawa Karate Kenkyukai 沖 縄 空手 研究 会!
The research group, inside which there are the national representatives of the Okinawan Shorin-ryu, Goju-ryu, Uechi-ryu and Shinzan-ryu / Koshiro-ryu schools, will aim to spread (and preserve) the Okinawan martial arts and culture in Italy.
Through the creation of local and national events, and thanks to international collaboration, more light will be given to Okinawan karate, remained in the shadows for too long.
